Participants will spend time in the exhibition Hyphen American: Intersections of Identity, exploring how artists convey identity and personal experience through portraiture. This conversation will serve as inspiration for a mixed media artwork that includes photography in a self-portrait workshop led by Sheldon educators Jordan Nova and Sydney DeRoin. Each participant will create and take home an original work of art that incorporates a physical photograph taken at the start of the workshop.
This program is free and open to everyone 16 years and older. Space is limited and registration is required.
Please note that meter parking on 12th and R streets is currently unavailable due to construction. The Que Place Garage and the Larson Building Garage remain available for parking for a fee.
