Karen Shoemaker, executive director of Larksong Writers Place, leads this teach-in focusing on ekphrastic writing. Using the works in Hyphen American: Intersections of Identity as the starting point and using skills shared by Karen, participants will draft their own original visually inspired writing.
This teach-in is free and open to everyone 16 years and older. Space is limited, and registration is required.
Please note that meter parking on 12th and R is currently unavailable due to construction. The Que Place Garage and the Larson Building Garage remain available for parking for a fee.
