Inspired by themes of community and rituals in the exhibition Hyphen American: Intersections of Identity, artist Toan Vuong leads the workshop Tarot and the Art of Chance: Navigating Chaos and Meaning in a Visual World. This workshop will give practical insight into how to read tarot cards and what it means to decipher and interpret images through the lens of the artist. Participants will examine the composition of a traditional Rider-Waite Smith deck, its history, and wisdom from the art world.
